They are long-term governmentwide contracts with commercial firms providing federal, state, and local government buyers access to more than 11 million commercial supplies, products, and services at volume discount pricing. A company with a GSA Contract is viewed as pre-screened and validated, which makes them more trustworthy to buy from.
Requirements contracts are entered into by a city agency with a vendor that generally agrees to supply the city’s entire need for a particular good or service. Using the contract on an “as-needed” basis allows agencies to acquire goods and services quickly, efficiently, and at a lower cost through volume-based discount pricing.
